fat sound from small bore?

is it possible to get a fat sound from a small bore horn like a Schilke B7 or B6 or a Yamaha 6310Z/8310Z?

I would say so.......listen to Bobby Shew. He has about the "fattest, warmest sound" that I have ever heard in small group jazz settings. As you know, he plays (or played) the 6310Z. Then again, Bobby could make any horn sound like that. I think that if you hear music or sound that way and practice properly, you can do it.
