 | Re: female jazz trumpet players DIVA is certainly a good starting place. I’ve appreciated and respected jazz solos from Tanya Darby and Jamie Dauber with DIVA. It is worth your time checking out the current entire DIVA section which also includes Christine Fawson and Nadje Noordhuis. I’ve also heard fine solos from Tanya Darby and Laurie Frink with the Kit McClure Band. From the West Coat, check out Christy Dana with the Montclair Women's Big Band. Barbara Laronga definitely deserves mention. So does Rebecca Coupe Franks. If I missed anyone, and I am sure that I did, please let me know.
