![]() | Film Greats I've just seen on cable TV "An American in Paris" What an astounding performance by Uan Rasey on lead. I'm assuming it was Joe Triscari on 2nd and maybe Mannie Klein. Does anyone know who the players were. Uan is easily recognized by his rather quick, narrow and intense vibrato. I feel that the great film trumpet players going way back to Larry Sullivan with Warner Bros in the 1930's right up to Malcolm McNab currently, are the unsung heroes of the trumpet world. ![]() | Re: Film Greats Well said Peter. We are usually so overwhelmed by the visual that we (and the public) sometimes miss the incredible playing that goes on that help make the scene. Most these guys can do it all too. |
