Harry James Hello all. Harry James doesn't generally get a lot of credit for his plunger playing, but check this out. YouTube - Harry James - Green Onions= Those old Humes+Berg tuxedo plungers can get pretty squirelly when held flush against the bell as he does a few times here. Enjoy -Kevin

Re: Harry James Yep, Harry was a really solid player . . . who chose to go the pop route in his day and make the big bucks playing his blockbuster hits vs. playing less "assesable" jazz. Was he right or wrong? Well . . . he got the hottest chick actress of his era . . . the lady with the legs insured for a million bucks back in WWII! As they say down here in the Deep South . . . "Thuh boy done GOOD!" ![]() T. Last edited by tom turner : 07-26-2007 at 01:31 PM.

Re: Harry James I am not quite sure if I agree with that assessment 100%. My first teacher and many of his associates were of the opinion that the man's talents were of the highest order. History I feel treats Mr. James with the respect he deserves!

Re: Harry James Harry James always gets my vote. In case some here doubt his impact, both Miles Davis and Louie Armstrong referred to him as "The Man". Yogi Robt
