 | How do I improvise? Hi guys, I need help. I have about 0% experience and skill in improvising in jazz band. I'm playing 1st and sometimes we will do a blues scale and then teacher would point at random people (she especially likes to pick on me) to do a solo. Problem is, I don't know how to solo. Help please. What notes should i use/how do i do it? |

 | Re: How do I improvise? Listen to the masters, use aebersold play alongs and get a SPIT Book to use in conjunction with the aebersold play along. | Re: How do I improvise? If its in the key of Bb Blues, for example, just play the notes in the scale, run them up and down, play around in different octaves, you dont have to go crazy for it to sound good................
