![]() | I finally saw.... Arturo last night at The Saratoga Jazz Festival...... He came out fast and furious, high and lound and low and soft! I guess I didn't realize that he played piano/keys more than he played his horn! During a 45 min set I think he played 5-6 solos and a few lines w/the tenor player.. Ohter than that his back was to the audience playing synth horn parts.... Kinda of drove me nuts! One thing is for sure, he can play his arse off!!! Tony G |

![]() | Yes he did, alot! He had major sound issues with the monitor engineer... Most of the set he was hand signaling to him to get the mix straight! |

| Forte User | I think he uses the "cuban" method. That is where all people born in Cuba can play really high really easily. |

| New Friend | yea he uses two sets of embouchures, no doubt about it. Saw him at ITG, have seen videos, he definantly uses two sets w/ that being said he can flow between them so quickly nobody can say anything about it really, I mean listen to the guy! |

I don't see the racism though. Different areas of people do have inherant traits that enable them to do things better than others. With northern caucasian people, since they live in cold places, they have a higher muscle to fat ratio because they use the fat to store heat. People of African decent have an extra thing in their leg that allows them to sprint accelerate to a sprint much faster than others. I merely implied that maybe people of cuban decent have a natural trumpet ability. | |
