![]() | I saw in the classifieds that there is a Callet "Jazz Trumpet." I've seen this title used elsewhere and always wondered: What actually qualifies a trumpet to be a "Jazz Trumpet" Is there actually something significant that makes a difference, or is this just a marketing scheme? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Jazz Trumpet? It is supposed to be a great horn for jazz. It is a step bore, or what Callet calls expandabore(?) It starts out at a bore size of of .353, (yep .353) then opens to .450 at the tuning slide and a final bore of .470 Said to be conical like a cornet, with a nice dark sound. The guy I know who has one really likes it. -cw-
