Fine LA-based lead/studio player and jazz player. His father (Don Thomas) is also a superb lead player (in the Dallas area). Played for quite a while with Woody Herman, Chick Corea, etc. Good jazz improviser, too. On the faculty at USC. Has a really good video on lead/studio playing coming out (I've seen previews--we will ALL want a copy).

It's quite a place, from what I understand. Isn't it awfully nice to have a... guy like Manny to enlighten us? Three Cheers for your... insight!
