 | Re: Machito Seeing Mario with an alto sax, wow. Mario and Benny Carter are two of the great doublers in jazz. Mauricio Smith was also a fine flute player. Wilmer

| Re: Machito Mario Bauza is a pioneer in music.He is also the only member of the infamous Cab Calloway trumpet section that doesn't claim to have hit Cab with a spitball  Mario was married to Machito's sister, Graciela. Mario led his own band. Victor Paz was Mario's straw boss in his band. Victor is my friend and mentor in the music. I had the opportunity to play with Eddie Palmieri's and Mario's bands because of our friendship. Hail Vitin! Wilmer
