go to jwpepper.com and just search for Gospel John. The music is very close, actually. Just have a good trumpet player add the original Maynard intro and you would barely notice the difference.

GOSPEL JOHN
Basic Library

Jeff Steinberg/Clark
C L Barnhouse Music Company

Check out this incredible arrangement of Maynard Ferguson's gospel favorite...it's hot as ever, but now any high school with a decent trumpet player can play it! Andy Clark's arrangement closely follows Maynard's recorded version, except for a much more playable introduction, new backgrounds for the solos and some rewriting in the trumpet parts (1st tpt. still goes to an "E"). This one is going to be played for a long, long time! (Recorded on the CD "Uptown Stomp," #2378727)

Qty Number Description Price
2348142 Jazz Ensemble $45.00

2348159 Jazz ensemble $5.00

2378727 CD-UPTOWN STOMP $14.95

You should be very happy with the Barnhouse chart, as it is written by Jeff Steinberg, the original arranger/ composer of the Maynard chart. If you have trouble getting it, post about it again and I'll ask Jeff, who lives here, where iot can be found..george tidwell
