one small note. On the CD baby page it says I won the NTC Jazz Division in 1993 ... that is an error.. the year was 2003... I have tried to correct the problem but Cd baby had been hard to reach

great site! everything is right there which i like, just the lack of color makes it boring. I read your bio and saw you were from maine. I am studying at the University of Southern Maine with Betty Rines and Trent Austin. You know them? Just nice to know someone else from maine resides on trumpetmaster besides me.

Trent and I are the same age. He and I both won solo awards at the state Jazz Festival our senior year. He Went to Nakomis and I went to Mount Desert Island High school. I have studied with Betty and think she is an absolutely wonderful trumpeter. Tell her I said hi... say hi to John Schnell and John Bowden for me as well. Thanks for checking out the site. I agree I could have more color, and in the past I did, but I was trying to simplify it. Your suggestion is well taken though. Thanks

Hey Matt,

Glad you have a site up, man, when are you going to record your big band charts?

It was fun reading the one last week at UofL after KMEA. Hope I didn't step on it too bad!!

The only thing for me was that when the main page opened for me the primary image didn't open up.

I was lsitneing to your sound files. The band is excellent! I love the charts! Really nice! YOU sound great, man! I wish you all the best. You deserve it.

BflatAnklan ( cool screen name)- great to hear you the other day. I am working on charts all the time ....that's why the black circles under my eyes .. LOL !
Not sure when I will be able to get someone to pay to have those recorded, but soon I hope. I actually may do a big band record this summer with my friends from L.A. Most noteably Lorenzo Tujillo ( unreal lead player... the next big thing out there)
you are a heck of a lead player yourself among other things... your futures bright !!!
thanks for the comments, and looking forward to the next time we get to play together. If I get my nonet up and running again, I'll give a call for you to come and play the lead book....
