![]() | A MySpace testimonial??? - broadcast of tracks from my CD I'm re-posting this. This was a bulletin I put out to my friends list at MySapce. I still feel the jury is out as to the efficacy of MySpace as a place for a musician to promote their music. I haven't really noticed an significant increase in sales, yet. I have, however, been able to promote my sponsors a great deal. I also have many new listners who do not participate on forums such as this. In fact, I hope I am able to bring some new members to TM. I have had quite a few opportunites to share TM with MySpace trumpeters via private messages and answering inquiries. A jazz radio host will be playing some of my CD on air and streaming. He is based in San Antonio. This is a direct result of MySpace. Let's see what happens. Here's the post. Well, folks, I am a relative newbie to MySpace. As a site for musicans, it is promoted as a place to build a fan base and do some networking. I grateful to have each and every one of you as a new friend with whom I can share someting that means so much to me. Well, this bulletin is testimony to MySpace. One of my friends now has a copy of my CD, "No Man Is An Island." He is a jazz radio host at KYSM 90.1, San Antonio. He hosts a show called 'Lush Life' which is dedicated to jazz. He'll be broadcasting some tracks from my CD on air this coming Saturday at 11:00 AM San Antonio time (I believe that is central time - same as Chicago). They have a streaming link. Here's the info: KYSM San Antonio http://www.accd.edu/sac/ksym/index.htm Program Schedule http://www.accd.edu/sac/ksym/schedule.htm It's a little tricky finding the live feed. You'll need a RealPlayer. Here's how to do it. Follow this link: http://www.accd.edu/tcmn/ You'll get a page called "Third Coast Music." In the middle you'll see the button called "Listen To KYSM Live Feed." That ought to do it! Your host will be MySpace's own Lush Life. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endID=19695819 I'm pleased he'll be playing my tracks. I'd be honored if many of you logged on and listened, or, if you're from San Antonio, you just tuned in! I hope you all enjoy the show. Peace Nick Drozdoff
