New Clip

Here's something I recorded a few days at a Camp Encore-Coda (Camp Encore/Coda For a great summer of music, sports and friends. music education camp summer maine jazz classical rock theater encore coda maine Maine ME) faculty concert. My battery died before the very end and I put it in low-fi for YouTube.

Let me know what y'all think.

FWIW I was using my 993 Bb (b2 prana piece) and my Schilke p5-4 pic.

Re: New Clip

Absolutely awesome - the pedal tone work is cool! The electronic support is interesting, what did you use for that? Great job switching between Bb and picc!
Inspiring stuff!

Re: New Clip

Thanks for the note Robin (and the note about the allergies... I'm seeing my dentist about what you mentioned... I think you're on to something)! the solo improvs are an "idea" I'm having for a solo CD I'll be releasing by October. I have about 1 1/2 hours of material so far that I'll slim down to some very interesting stuff (I hope!).

I used a Digitech Vocal 300 effects processor that was heavily modified to work with the trumpet. I basically modded every sound to make about 30 really decent sounds. On the improvisation I used a basic digital delay patch I designed with a small delay and about 8 repetition solid loop before decay. The other primary sound was kinda like a tricked out flange pedal. It's taken me a long time to finally trick the sounds out to work with my trumpet but I really dig them now!

I also used a Fender Twin Tube amp (not mine unfortunately) and my Samson Wireless 77 mic.

Thanks for checkin' it out!
