| Paul Tynan's New CD. Folks, I have a new CD out!!! I am very happy with it and I feel it represents my best work to date. Here is the press release from the record label. Best, PT FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE: The new album by Paul Tynan, “Radio Infrequency” will be officially released, December 1, 2006. The album “Radio Infrequency” features compositions by Trumpet/Flugelhorn player Paul Tynan. The compositions are creative/improvised in nature and should be cataloged under JAZZ. Catalog number: NJCD-7206. The supporting musicians are Dallas based guitarist Noel Johnston and legendary Canadian pianist, Dave Restivo. “It must be stated now that Paul Tynan, Noel Johnston and Dave Restivo are amazing musicians. Their incredible technique as individuals and as a group enables confident adventurings… As with all jazz musicians trying to create something new with a hundred years of jazz history in tow, influences are heard and noticed. But Paul, Noel and Dave definitely have discovered a personal language for an abstract conversation.” -From the liner notes by Jazz Master Tim Hagans. Paul Tynan currently resides in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada and is a professor in the music department at St. Frances Xavier University in Antigonish. The Album was recorded in Nova Scotia. | New Friend | Paul Tynan's New CD Hi :) Our Community band had a bandfest around the middle of Nov and we were fortunate to have Paul come down to play with us and to give a mimi clinic. Paul is a great guy with lots of knowledge on the trumpet....we learned quite abit in the short time that we had for sectionals. Anyway I bought his new Cd from him and havn't been able to take it out of my cd player..it's just great...all three performers seem to be an extension of the other. IMo this is a great cd that I believe everyone will enjoy and would make a great addition to anybody's Jazz collection. Just My .03 cents wort Auggy |

![]() | Re: Paul Tynan's New CD. The Jazz station in St. Louis is WSIE. Please send them a copy. (Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville) Send it to Ross Gentile. If it is good, he'll play it. Ross is a trumpet player so he'll give you good coverage. I'll be listening. |
