![]() | Hello, everyone. I was wondering if you all could recommend some great jazz trumpet artists and pieces that I could listen to? We all know that you can learn from the examples of others. I'm particularly interested in technique and improvisation, though these aren't the only things that I'm interested in. I am also looking for any warm-ups, excercises, etc. that I could drill down that would also help me perform better; not necessarily for jazz, but in all departments. Feel free to recommend to me your favorite exercises. |

![]() | Re: Players and Techinques As to the warm up, etc., I would look for a good trumpet teacher. Because it's not so much what you do but how you do them. A good teacher will help you develop good playing habits, correct bad habits and develop you embouchure.
