| Post War London Studio Players Who were the leading studio/commercial trumpet players in London in the 1950's and early 60's? I know of Stan Roderick, Bob Pratt, Kenny Baker, Derek Healey and I think a guy called Stan Newsome. Also, who played lead on the Goon Show. Peter Salt. |

| Pianissimo User | Hi Peter, I'll have to get some help with this one but luckily I'm spending the next two days working with some guys who will really know about this: Henry Lowther, who is like a walking encyclopaedia, and John Dankworth, who generated a fair amount of studio work himself. I'll enlist their help to come up with a kind of family tree and get back to you on Friday. Thanks for the homework assignment :). Noel. |
