| Pianissimo User | Re: Solo on Out of Nowhere Great lines and note choices! You play a lot of things very well! Keep working on the fundamentals of trumpet playing; sound, evenness of fingers, etc. Playing with finesse and beauty requires a lot of attention to just playing the trumpet very well, and believe me, you are well on your way! Keep at it, you're going to do very well. |

Even after you record a cut like this, you need to tap your foot to it and see if the beat is constant. Especially when you start to play with a jazz rhythm section, they get into a groove and your playing has match that time. Your choice of notes is good. I did not vote because I do not think that those choices qualify. You are working hard to become a great soloist and THAT is the most important thing here. keep up the good work!

![]() | Re: Solo on Out of Nowhere Nice work, but try to make your ideas flow a little smoother. sounded a bit choppy to me, my teacher tells me (I'm working on the same thing) to "think across the barlines/changes." -Andrew |
