Ted Curson

Ted Curson and Henry Grimes are playing tonight at the Cornelia Street Cafe. The sets are at 8 and 10:30 PM. This is part of a celebration of Ted's 70th birthday.

Tune in to http://wkcr.org/ at 1 PM Friday to hear Ted talk about his years with Charles Mingus.
I participated yesterday in a WKCR interview with Ted and Henry.
It's about time they honored my JHS buddies. You should have heard these guys when they were 15 year olds

Wilmer, just a couple of curious questions: do you ever get over to where Les Paul plays to hear him, and have you ever shared a stage with him? That would be kind of neat.

man I wish I lived in NYC, I'd definitely go see ted tonight if I did, he and Eric Dolphy produce some of my favorite solos ever in their work with Mingus,

Is it true that Ted Curson's nickname is Dead Person?

I've heard that he's a super nice guy. I've also heard otherwise.
