Mr. Wayne,
Wonderful job at the Denver, Colorado show with the Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra. I really enjoyed it. You are truly blessed. I appreciated the opportunity to take a picture with you. Not to sound cheesy but you are my Maynard, lol. Yeah, ok I'm a dork. I wish I known you would give lessons after the clinic, I would've liked to partake in that. I did have a question for you though that I didn't get to ask in the clinic: How do you find the gig in the first place, is it really in who you know? Anyways, great playing, I thoughrly enjoyed it. Keep it up.

Tim

Wayne is not only one of the "baddest cats", he's also one of the nicest guys anywhere.

I will never forget sitting in Jon Lewis' car in LA and listening to Wayne on "Oh Holy Night".......my jaw dropped. That weekend was unforgetable. I was playing with Tito Puente at The Hollywood Bowl with HB orchestra.......featuring-Jon Lewis, Dennis Farias, Rick Baptist and Wayne Bergeron. I was in trumpet Heaven!
It's gigs like this that remind me how blessed I am to be part of this business.
WB is the man!

Re: Wayne Bergeron

Wayne was a gast soloist at the Trumpetparty in the Netherlands last month. I had the honour to play with him and we talked a lot through the 2 days we worked together. He's a great player and a even nicer guy. There are some YouTube vids off the event on YouTube.

Re: Wayne Bergeron

I have found this to be true. The baddest cats often times are the nicest guys. Probably one of the main reasons why they work so much... on top of their great talent like Wayne's

Re: Wayne Bergeron

Yeah, Wayne is really a great guy. He performed at C.O.S. earlier this year and I got to talk to him after his rehersal. He is just such an outgoing guy and he treats everyone like he's know you for years!

His playing though is just so spectacular. I don't think that anyone else can play those highnotes as loud or as clear as he can! Truly amazing!

Re: Wayne Bergeron

I have to agree with whats posted above, I've e-mailed Wayne on a number of occasions. He is a busy guy, but he takes time out of his life to chat with guys he doesn't even know. He is a great guy, and his playing is just top notch. I listen to "Mueva Los Huesos" all the time.

Re: Wayne Bergeron

Wayne B. and Jon Lewis are both members of ITG and have given lectures. Being a member and attending ITG conferences is always rewarding. Most of the time the professionals are the greatest.

Only once in a while will a student or a European show up with a little attitude. A few beers cures that problem.
