| I will admit that there has not been another trumpet player that gets me so very excited about listening to hot trumpet players in a long time. I love all types of music, and I myself basically play 80% classical and 20% jazz, but if I could have been any kind of player I would have played just like Wayne. He seems to have full control of all kinds of music, and the ability to be comfortable in multiple settings is something I really admire. I would have loved to have been that great player who fits into the commercial set of studio players, but also have the ability to play live gigs with jazz, groups, orchestras, bands, and do solo work as well. One of the very best things about Wayne is that he also seems to be a nice guy, who is very approachable. In my few communications with him he has always answered me back in a timely and professional manner, and was just plain nice in his response. A couple of my students sent him Emails last year when doing research for a paper I assigned them in class. They had asked me a question about him, and I told them to ask him, not ask me. He responded to both of them within 10-days. They were both very excited to hear from a great musician. |

![]() | Re: Wayne Bergeron - Plays well with others... This CD has been receiving a lot of air time on WSIE radio. The DJ is a trumpet player and Maynard fan. I ordered the CD a few days ago and it should be here tomorrow or Tuesday. IF you are a jazz player, WSIE, is the radio station in the St. Louis market for your music. I buy most of my CD's after hearing tracks from them on WSIE. Jim |
