![]() | Whatever became of Jerry Weiss? Has anyone heard anything lately about Jerry Weiss? He was a talented commercial trumpet player I met while attending Juilliard in the mid-sixties. We used to play gigs together in the Catskills in the summer (Bill Kerr and Bob Maksimkow were the saxes in that band). Jerry was also on the first BS&T album, "The Child is Father to the Man," but was kicked out afterwards. He had a terrible temper and did a lot of acid, etc. Yet he had a warm and fun side, and I always got along with him. Unfortunately you never knew if he was going to be Jekyll or Hyde. Last I heard he was living on the street in the Village, playing bass, and bugging all the trumpet players in the city. I'd appreciate any info or recent sightings of this unfortunate cat. Thanks, Chas Reskin Hollywood, FL
