Maynard, for a couple of reasons:
IMO Dizzy was a better player than Maynard but Dizzie's range and playing really started to deteriate as he got older whereas Maynard's range may be deteriorating but he still plays and performs in his late 70s. If I was Maynard I'd still be alive.

Only one Dizzy Only one Maynard

Please understand I have the highest respect for all trumpet players. We all are on a road to not suck. Both of these trumpet players are great in their own right. Maynard has complete total understanding of tone production and airflow. Dizzy had an understanding of chords and how they relate and dispite of a check problems still played great. He also helped create Bop and played and created solo lines that to this day no trumpet player can top. so to chose one Ithink does a disservice to the other.

Sophar so good

well I want to change my vote. I first said Maynard, cuz he's still kickin'.
but now i say Dizzy, for several reasons.
1-he's not fat as hell
2-most jazzers of that time did drugs, so chances are he did it as well.
3-I'd get to play with Charlie Parker.
