Whos Better Maynard Or Miles

ahhhhhhh... i have a problem with having to have a favorite trumpet player, now its between the high note god Maynard Ferguson, and bop legend Miles Davis. So please reply with who u think is the better trumpet player, and tell why.

They are completely different so it is hard to compare the two. Although if you listen to older Maynard (before he became the screamer) he had a lot of very good lines. But I really don't think that you can compare them.

Maynard plays high notes better than Miles. Miles plays bop better than Maynard

Hard to answer that because I've never had just one favorite trumpet player. The trumpet has many personalities....sounds like an "apples and oranges" dilemma.

Pffffft, you're asking about those two when you got da dean right here?

j/k, comparing those two is like comparing the 747 to the F-16. Outside of the obvious differences, one is American and the other is Canadian, and that's about it.

This can't be a serious post.

It's like who's smarter, Albert Einstein or Bill Gates?

Who was a better writer, Shakespeare or Mark Twain?

Who was a better singer, Joan Sutherland or Ella Fitzgerald

Who DOES sing better?

Manny or Wilmer?

I think they should have a duel!
