The Woes of the Road

Mike Williams, long time lead player of the Count Basie Orchestra sent me this.

It seems that after weeks of nothing but deli sandwiches while on tour, Mike just couldn't take it any more.

Haha, I haven't "been on the road" but I sure can imagine. Still, what I would give to get the opportunity.... Good job Mike, I've seen you play in person a few times. Good stuff.

Wow - good one! You should try Navy gig food - even worse! Gotta love those stupid box lunches with the nasty half-frozen mystery meat sandwich - UGH! Better yet, MREs! I brought an MRE home for my husband after last summer's deployment, let him see what it was like, and then he took me out for dinner! Oh, and let's not forget the receptions where they promise you food, but never the same food they eat since we don't deserve that *gasp* the thought of the band eating that well - distasteful!

So true !!! The worst food I ever was offered was at a wedding.
The Brides Mother microwaved some nasty old fish sticks for us.
And then she seemed to be real put off when we didn't touch them !!!!!!

There's nothing like limp fish sticks !!!! Them's good eats !!!!!!!!!!
