You know, as I watched that I thought "this must be the very first time I've seen a video of Wynton where he looks like he's actually putting any serious physical effort into his playing". Yes, he was totally relaxed the moment he takes the horn down but was there something about that style that requires a marked increase in effort to produce the particular sound that was needed? |
