![]() | Bach Mt. Vernon "O" Shanks Mouthpieces I have a couple vintage Bach Mt. Vernon cornet mouthpieces that I am thinking about selling. A 10-1/2c and a 6c. What I cant figure out is the "O" stamped on the shank. Someone said it stood for Olds? Are these pieces a bit more rare? They are in excellent shape? |

| Pianissimo User | Re: Bach Mt. Vernon "O" Shanks Mouthpieces You are correct. They are for some of the old Olds horns. Rare... not sure. If it is a popular size then maybe. Peace Dviid

![]() | Re: Bach Mt. Vernon "O" Shanks Mouthpieces The "O' stands for "oversize shank". That means that those mpcs will fit the L.A Olds cornets, as they had an oversized reciever. These are fairly sought-after, as the cornets can only be played with a custom mpc, a flugel mpc, or an original Olds mouthpiece.
