    thank┤s Vulgano Brother !

    interesting link....

I also know, that Rowuk plays a Moeck Cornetto-mouthpiece, made of brass, with a rim similar to a 7C ...

but I would like to try a mouthpiece made of animal-horn

    Re: big Monk Cornetto mouthpiece

the idea is, to get close to my 3C rim
but I heard some people say, that this size does not work well with Cornett

( I also modified a Bach 3C trumpet-mouthpiece, and it really doesn┤t sound very nice...
also the pitch seems to low, but maybe there is something "working for me" ?)

Moeck, and others stoped their production,
in Barcelona there is also Toni Romera, making great pieces,
but he does not beleave in "big" cornetto mouth-pieces

Rim like a 7C? Never ever. I have a bag full of cornetto mouthpieces, but use a Moeck brass mouthpiece with the CUP similar to a 7C. The rim is hysterically correct - like a cookie cutter. I also have tried plastic and wood, but keep coming back to the Moeck. The mouthpiece material does not seem to make that big of a difference in the tone. The weight does and the transition from cup to backbore. The sharp, narrow rim gives the notes more definition.

    sorry, the cup, the CUP...

are there still Moeck-pieces on the Market ?

I saw that Bruno Tilz has a m.-piece with 16.5 mm inner diameter (close to the 6.3 mm of my usual Bach 3 C),
and Monk has one with 17 mm (!) ,
but buying a cat in a bag.....

    hysterically or historically ?

it seems, that many players can play on diferent mouthpieces with diferent rims (for diferent instruments),
I can┤t ...! ( maybe I have to practice this kind of changing)

There is a reason that the rims were that way. It takes time to get used to the "original" mouthpieces. I find wide rims on the cornetto to make the clarity, articulation and intonation harder.

I don't know of any Moeck mouthpieces laying around anywhere (not even at the factory - I already tried). I think they stopped building in 2008.
