Charles Davis Harmon Mute!

I've always had standard Aluminum Harmon brand mutes...
I've been unhappy with my tone but hadn't ever experimented with other mutes (Harmon invented them right??)

Anyway, I picked up a Charles Davis Copper Wow Wow and was shocked at the tone difference. It makes the Harmon sound like the stem is still in...

Just wanted to share and I'm thrilled with this purchase.
I should mention that it weighs a good Three times what my Aluminum Harmon weighs.

Smile Re: Charles Davis Harmon Mute!

They are great mutes. I have found that different brand wah wah mutes sound differntly from each other. I have Harmon brand copper and it is a bit louder than my old aluminum, (i do not know the brand, I think it might be Allissi- Vachiano) (great mute, I believe this what Miles used) Best Brass has a aluminum, brass and copper and they are all great sounding, again a bit of a different sound. Then Windy City and JoRal thay are great sounding as well.
