![]() | Re: cornet to trumpet mouthpiece No, the DW 4B trumpet mouthpiece is very different from the DW 4B trumpet piece. The cup diameter and rim shape are the same, but the cup shape (and depth), throat, and backbore are completely different. If you want to try the Wick cornet mouthpiece on trumpet, buy a mouthpiece adapter - they're pretty cheap.

| Forte User | Re: cornet to trumpet mouthpiece IMO, They should be. The thickness of the rim according to http://deniswick.com/dw_leaflet_06.pdf is same, but because of the cornet deep V cup (though not as deep as on no letter mps) the cornet mp rim may feel somewhat thinner than on their trumpet mp, but you are more likely to get a closer to your cornet mp on a DW trumpet mouthpiece, than any other brand in the world. Myself I prefer DW Maurice Murphy series, but the standard will be probably closer to your cornet mouthpiece. Dale is right about the other variables like throat and backbore specs.
