curry 1.25 tf...

just switched to this mouthpiece from the bach 3c. the way the modified flugel cup softens the sound is very pleasing. it would have been interesting to be able to play a larger diameter piece with a medium cup, and a 3 size with a tf cup, to get an idea of the impact of the larger cup, and the deeper cup, on the sound, separately. lost some range for sure with this mouthpiece and will work to get that back. this should be my last diameter change to the larger. it might be necessary to get a shallow curry 1.25 maybe the zm cup to be able to change up for music with some verve.

You might also look at the star (*) cup by Curry. I have both the * and the m cup and prefer the feel and sound I get with the *.
