Deeper cup mouthpiece

I currently play a Conn Vintage one with a 3c and a 1 1/2. I use the 1 1/2 all the time as it suits me better. I am looking for maybe something deeper or bigger. Say a 1b ckb? I also want this to be my next all-around mouthpiece. Especially for jazz. I know deeper is meant more for orchestra work but I have always liked the deeper mouthpieces. What do you guys think? Thanks for helping! - Holyjunk

Re: Dipper cup mouthpiece

Try it their cheap. It it works for you you're good. I have a 3C CKB I got with my UMI Benge. Too small for me. Should be very close to a Back 1B but never got a straight answer if it is different shaped Mega-Tone or just a heavy 1B. If you know I'd like the answer.

Great horn. Tried one recently and I was a Conn basher before, never liked or cared for Conn.

You can try a pumped Stork mouthpiece...it is not exactly cheap, but looks like what you are looking for..check it up at Vacchiano line

Re: Dipper cup mouthpiece

The rims on a 1 1/2C and a 1B are different so you should try it out first.

What do you think a bigger mouthpiece will get you?

There isn't really a way I can try it out first as there are not many big music stores around me. Only one to be exact and they don't keep mouthpieces on hand. I liked my 3c better than the 7c and I liked the 1 1/2 better than the 3c. I was looking for something towards a more open sound but still have enough energy to excite. Thanks for comments guys.

** Mods please change title to deeper*** It was late at the time haha.
