| Double Trumpet flight case I have one from Walt Johnson. It's the size of a triple case (same shell as Walt's trumpet/flugel case). The inside is configured with 2 trumpet slots and one large accessory slot. A piccolo rolled up in a towel would fit in the accessory slot.. Or mutes & a stand. Note: The trumpet slots are fitted, so larger horns may require a custom job. Very protective. Also, very heavy. Garry Last edited by gchun : 09-18-2006 at 05:20 PM. Reason: fixed typo |

| Hey Felix, The Allora cases are pretty good. They work as carry on luggage also. http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=...oogle&ct=title http://www.wwbw.com/Product/Product....source=froogle Click on more images -cw- Last edited by Solar Bell : 09-18-2006 at 05:54 PM. |

| A Pelican 1510 rolling carry-on case. http://www.pelican-case.com/15caonca.html You'd have to pluck out the foam to create the slots, but it isn't very hard -- the foam is scored so you can rip it out one one-inch block at a time. I've gone through the plucking process for three cases and haven't screwed it up yet. The 1510 is almost certainly big enough for three trumpets but Pelican doesn't make a smaller case that's long enough for a standard Bb trumpet. Tough to beat for $130, though. |

| along the same lines as Niewguyski, there are cases made by Raw Brass: http://www.rawbrass.com/ click on 100/300 Series Cases on the left side. Not as cheap as the Pelicans, but similar idea. I've done the Pelican routine myself and they work wonderfully. Check out these posts about Pelican use: http://www.trumpetmaster.com/vb//showthread.php?t=30320 (Off to the UK) http://www.trumpetmaster.com/vb//sho...t=30268&page=3 (Musicians and travel) Garry |

![]() ![]() | I'm getting a Pelican soon for my travelling. I recently had my LR slightly damaged on a commuter flight over to Nantucket. It was in my Pro-Tec Extreme case and they crammed it in (I watched) the compartment and shoved it around. Gotta love those fragile stickers. |

| I have to say, I am 110% happy with my decision to go with the Pelican. Getting three new horns back safely on an International flight and the case remaining in wonderfully unscratched condition after the ordeal was enough proof for me. |

![]() ![]() | There's a brace loose due to all the shoving they did of my case. Proabably an easy fix. I can't find any specific wear but I know it happened on this flight. agh. -T |
