![]() | French Taper Mouthpieces for Flugel Hello everyone. I've been playing a Couesnon Flugelhorn for over 30 years, and just learned about the different mouthpiece tapers for Flugels. Now I'm concerned that I might have the wrong mouthpiece. I bought a Jetone DS Flugel mouthpiece for this horn way back in the day, and still play on it. How do I tell if it has the right shank? Is it that if it fits in the horn it's ok, or is there more to it than that? Thanks. --Shane |

![]() | Re: French Taper Mouthpieces for Flugel The question becomes are you satisfied with the results you have had with your present mouthpiece? Is it working for you, play in tune, and give you the sound you are looking for? If the answer to these questions is yes, then keep it and don't worry about the other things. |
