| Asymmetric The New Trumpet Mouthpiece - LOW PRICES at WWBW There was the link to it. I heard nothing but good about them, by both the product description (which that is a given) and by the reviewers (which is also kind of a given, but not really). I was wanting to hear your thoughts on it. All 3 reviews gave it 5 stars and two of the three were considered helpful reviews (the one that wasn't considered helpful probably wasn't because they didn't AGREE, but because one sentence isn't nearly enough for a review). Though these were just highschoolers and students reviewing it, I was looking for some input fromr a more knowledgeable trumpet player. However, I have been unsatisfied before with products that were praised by reviewers and agreed upon by the review-readers. So I don't consider it a valid source, but I do value you guy's opinions. If all that was said is true, that would be a small price to pay for those kinds of results, but somehow I can't see that magically happening. They never said anything about tone-quality (hmm I wonder why). I play on a yamaha mouthpiece that came with my Xeno when I got it. I'm happy with it and it's range, but given the time I spend each day on the trumpet, it would be nice to have even more of an endurance so that I could play my best for longer. What exactly are the differences to those mouthpieces and what sizes would they be comparable to? Would you recommend it, or is it one of those things that the positive is exaggerated and the negative is not mentioned? Tell me all you know about them. Thanks guys. |

| Re: Hey guys, check out these mouthpieces, should I get one? what do you know about them? I only know one guy who uses them, but he sounds great on them, Nick Drozdoff. They don't work for me. The cup isn't round, thats what is different. As you say, I think the reviews may be a case of the positive being exaggerated, and the negative not mentioned. |
