Welcome to Mouthpiece Express their ones are made by curry and half the price of any of the ones listed. They just dont look as nice.

Remember, they will change the way the horn responds.

If you do this, keep in mind that Newtons laws of inertia apply to trumpet valves too.

I got mine at Pickett Brass. They worked with me to get the right weight too. Pete and Arlo are the best cats around. Give them a call.

I got a set from Pickett for my Yamaha - great experiance, and rea,lly high-quality product! the Curry parts are okay but not made for every brand, and it's not as easy to try out all the different weights. Pickett will send a set of all the weights to try before you decide so you know exactly what you're getting, and the sets look just beuatiful on the horn, too. My Yamaha plays much better for me now, and I much prefer the flat metal buttons to the MOP ones.

Hi Sauer,
What kind of trumpet do you play?
We can produce buttons for virtually any trumpet in almost any weight - lighter or heavier than any other buttons. They definitely change the way the horn feels and looks.
We introduced some ultralight buttons (and other trim parts) a few months ago due to requests for much lighter bottoms caps, but have also done some custom work on much heavier trim pieces as well such as the buttons you mentioned.

Re: I need some heavy finger buttons and bottom valve caps

Not to change anybody's opinion, but I have read my things on heavy bottom caps and some say it helps while others says it's just extra weight, that's all! What exactly do heavy bottom caps help?

Re: I need some heavy finger buttons and bottom valve caps

I found heavy bottom caps made my horn slightly harder to blow but made the notes slightly more centered and the slotting slightly better. I don't use them at the moment because I like the most free-blowing horn I can get. The effect will depend on your horn. I found that a heavy bottom cap on the third valve made the most difference, it made hardly any difference when I put them on one and two.
