Inspired by Bear: Silent Brass Give-Away

In the Taking Rowuk's Advice thread (Taking Rowuks Advice) Bear offered to give his Silent Brass system to someone who needed it. It's not only a great gesture but something that I realized I can easily do as well. I have a Silent Brass system that I have owned for a while but don't use anymore, so I really should follow Bear's example and do this.

If you need (or know someone who is in need of) a Silent Brass system, would make good use of it, and don't have the means to buy one, send me a PM with a short note telling me a little bit about your situation and why the Silent Brass would help you.

To be fair, I'll take requests for a few days rather than sending it to the first to reply. This weekend I'll select the person that I think would use it the most or has the greatest need. I'll pay shipping within the U.S.A. to get it to you, and will ship to other countries if you are willing to pay the difference in shipping costs.

Thanks for setting a great example, Bear!

awesome man. Good deal. Yes, Bear is Donating his Silent Brass system to me. I am deaply greatful of this gesture, and will definatly try to find some way to repay him in the future, as right now, i am running very VERY low on money.

I have a new bandmate in our local community concert band that is 81 years old and now lives in a senior citizens apartment complex where practicing is rather frowned upon because of the thin walls between the units. He would really enjoy keeping his lip in shape between band rehearsals with your Silent Brass. Needless to say, he is now on a rather low, fixed income. I already have and use a Silent Brass, so this is NOT for me.

Eh,
I didn't mean to start some mass movement or anything. I've always been of the inclination that if you can help someone, go for it. Makes the world go round, eh? Patric, I'm not looking for any "repayment". Don't worry about it. I haven't used the thing in quite a while. Take care.

I know your not looking for any repayment... but I will find a way haha.. this is just such a kind hearted gesture. I dont think anyone has ever really given me something like this before. Its not just a silent brass, its something enabling me to keep playing, which to me, is one of the best things in the world.

Hey Bear, starting a movement has in the past built countries and destroyed slavery. Take pride in your willingness to help someone out. I am proud of you and you should be too.

Wynton hasn't been seen with his for a while. The valve casing is stamped "Professor Marsalis".
