I recently acquired one and I have to say that it is a wonderful piece to play on. It is probably one of the most comfortable mouthpieces I've ever used. Also for a mouthpiece with a shallow cup it can really give great control down below. Even into the pedals! It's still in it's infancy with me but for now I'd give it two thumbs up and a snap!!

SteelyDan is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Jeromes new mouthpiece....

The shape kinda reminds me of the mouthpieces olds used to make. Looks kinda cool if you ask me.

Trumpet1Ohio is on a distinguished road
Re: Jeromes new mouthpiece....

I bought one and tried it out for a month or so. The diameter was too small for me....640 or so. The rim is wider than I like, too. Reminded me of a GR 64.7MS that I tried. I did like the sound very much. Not as overly bright as other lead pieces I've played. Granted, it's a nice mouthpiece and very comfortable, but doesn't work for everyone equally. Jerry's a great saleman!

Re: Jeromes new mouthpiece....

One size fits all? Even if it was that good, the concept would never fly for the mass markets.

A 7E with a wide rim and tight backbore, sounds like something Al Vizzutti and Jens Lindermann would also approve of. I won't order one, but if I find one to borrow somewhere, I'll give it a shot - you all will be the first to know!
