I can offer you a solo on Air Guitar for $8,000 - you get to keep the Guitar and its Air Case. When you leave don't forget your white sports coat - you know, the one with the long sleeves and leather straps.

We know the seller doesn't like criticism of his "mute for sale" that's for sure. He also doesn't have much patience with those who ask him questions either. Of course, he the self-proclaimed "Grand High Exalted...right honorable M_M_" so who are we to argue with him? He won't be getting my $5,000 for sure! If I recall there is a ongoing thread on this matter in the "other forum" he complains about. Maybe he figures people here are impressed by his arguments not thinking that some frequent the "other" forum.

As usual, you get two completely different viewpoints depending on who you talk to (or, in this case, read). The ebay listing referred to another, unnamed, trumpet forum so I went to the obvious candidate, and sure enough, there is a lengthy thread there about this and it gives a 180 degree different view. So, apparently this is not a joke, at least in the mind of the seller. But, it seems that there are some petty comments going both ways.

But, at the very least the ebay listing is a very informative history of the vintage Harmon mutes, for those who are interested - both of them.

But who is this guy? Any one familiar with the name? I would have concider the BIN price if it was Arturo, Lew, Douglas or Wynton, But Martin Michaels...HAH!!!!
