What's the difference between a regular mouthpiece and one that is laser lined?

So there isn't really a signifficant difference? Do they make the sound any different? Anything?!?!?! What are they supposed to do?

I'll suggest that, since many of the newer machine tools (lathes, milling machines, etc.) use a system of "automatic adjustment" that may involve lasers, the vendor of "laser lined" mouthpieces is simply using snake-oil advertising on you.

It doesn't matter if a mouthpiece is "laser lined", "cast in mud", or "thrown on a potting wheel". If it works for YOU then buy it. If it doesn't, then DON'T BUY IT.

What company produces laser lined mouthpieces? I googled briefly and didn't find anything. Maybe this is really good?
