| Forte User | LOUD Mouthpieces Made by Hauser and designed/marketed by my band director, I have been lucky to get my hands on a few of these. I fell in love with the Steve Patrick 10 1/2C. I also am very hip to the LM 85, about as close to a lead mouthpiece I enjoy playing. :) I'm trying to talk Joe into parting with a 5B or the Rick Baptiste model for me to start working on..... The Stainless are great, especially if you are wanting to darken your sound. Heavy as heck, and the screw cups make it extra cool (hard to keep them from sticking, though). The Steve Patrick's are basic-looking, but they work. Something about the cup design is very comfortable. The 10 1/2 is an amazing piece in that it can be used in any setting. Not too bright, not too dark. The Maynard model is ridiculous. Drilled out dime, rim goes INTO the cup, and its a semi-V. You can play high on it, though. :) Van |

| Re: LOUD Mouthpieces His name is Dave Houser, he doesn't live far from me. He has been doing custom mouthpiece work in the area for quite some time. LOUD Mouthpieces - Trumpet - Mellophone - Trombone - Euphonium - Tuba - Stainless Steel Mouthpieces Houser Mouthpieces I'm afraid I can't comment on the mouthpieces, I don't play around with them much. If it ain't broke... |
