Red face Maurice Murphy Signature Series by Denis Wick - Wow

For almost 2 decades I was a VB mouthpiece fan and though I was happy with mine I always thought like missing something...I guess that this was DW MM series...

My First impression (I have not tried it within the orchestra)

The sound is georgous and gives me more brilliant tone than the VB.

Power: Lots of it. I feel like I moved from an ordinary, even though powerful bike to a Harley Davidson. When I put the DW mp Booster it gets even more powerful and centered...Never seen before such a thing.

The weird thing about the Booster:

It fits perfectly to my Bach mouthpieces but not so well on the DWMM 1.5
Isn't it weird that fits to toehr mouthpieces but not their own I guess that I will have to send it to spada to make it fit (the DW has a wider size in the base of the cup, which is probably teh reason for this happening)

Piano playing is not a problem either: The sound stays centered and colourful.

Thank you Maurice and Denis Wick! Great job!

Have you had the chance to compare it to a Wick 1C ?
I think the rim will be the same.
I have been using a 1C Wick for C trumpet recently and it also has good control at low volumes. I was wondering what the difference might be.

I tried the DWMM1C but it seems too big for me as high register is getting to difficult and stamina becomes an issue for me. Otherwise probably the 1C is very good too, but not for me
