| Re: monette mouthpiece delivery time McTrumpet, It depends - how's that for an answer! Monette may have some standard sized mouthpieces in stock, but, typically they make most of their mouthpieces to order. As you know, their quality control is extremely high, and, as they don't do their own plating, time lags sometimes result from having to send the mouthpiece to the platers once its been cut and checked, then re-checking it when it returns to the shop. Who'd you place your order with? I've found everybody at the shop to be incredibly helpful, so I'd suggest giving Dean (the mouthpiece supervisor) a call to check on your order. Usually mouthpieces come in a few weeks, but, if you've waited a month already, I'd bet it'll be on its way soon - give them a call and check in. Best, -dan |

![]() | Re: monette mouthpiece delivery time mctrumpet- What did you order? I've played Monette mouthpieces for a little over 9 years and horns for about 5 years now. My first mouthpiece (a B2) took about 6 weeks to come in. My first horn took about a year. I put the deposit down for my Monette B-flat on February 29 (leap day!) and I just got confirmation that it is scheduled for delivery sometime around September '09! Don't worry, it's worth the wait. -Jimi |

| Re: monette mouthpiece delivery time I've ordered through Dillon before.... and it's a 3rd party thing. When they get it you'll get it. They are pretty cool with getting it for you in a prompt fashion. I just ordered a B4FL Prana striaght from Monette. Sebastian told me it would be 4-6 weeks, but it came in 3! Yee Haw!! It plays great. |

| Re: monette mouthpiece delivery time In my experience Dillon are easier to order from than Monette directly. Its easier to track whats going on and if there is a long delay they do get let you know. |
