| New Friend | I've been playing a Jerome Callet mouthpiece for about 3 months now and I love it. But one problem: it's not mine and I need to return it soon. I can't seem to find another one and I wanted to know if there's any model that's close to the same thing. THANKS! |

| Re: Mouthpiece help I think New York Trumpet Company used to sell Callet mouthpieces. I'd check with them, but make sure you have the model name or number of the Callet mouthpiece you've been using. If they don't sell them any more, maybe they can refer you to someone who does. | Re: Mouthpiece help If it is one of the new Callet mouthpieces, you can get it direct from him. MASTER SUPERCHOPS It it is an older own you may have some troubles finding them. Which model is it? |

| Re: Mouthpiece help You can check on the Callet forum at trumpetherald. If you've got somthing other than the W46 or Superchops 1, someone there might have one they'd be willing to part with. They could probably help you get one of the good W46s, too, i.e. before Weril changed the design. Forum: trumpetherald.com Last edited by aragorn10027 : 02-21-2008 at 10:40 AM. |

I know one used to be made because someone at Trumpet Herald posted that he bought one. How do I know if my W46 is the original design or some re-design? It looks almost exactly like a Bach mouthpiece on the outside, like the upper one at Weril W46 Mouthpieces | |

| Re: Mouthpiece help I don't think there's a way to tell from the outside. I bet Jerry or one of his top students could tell you. I got my W46 from Jerry and like it a lot. I don't think there ever was a cornet version of the W46, unless you got a trumpet shank turned down. Have you tested the SC1? It comes in a cornet shank, too. My trumpet version is very bright, but I can get a darker sound out of it than I could with the W46. |
