mouthpiece replating

hey, I just bought an old mouthpiece (schilke 12b4) that I like very much, unfortunatly it is worn down the the raw brass in a couple of spots including places on the rim and in the cup. I want to get it redone in silverplate, I dont mind mailing it out but I am located in NE PA. if anybody knows of good places that do replating Id appriciate the info.

He is in New York. I had him plate the trim on my horn. Excellent work.

It's cheaper and quicker to buy a new 12b4.

Re: mouthpiece replating

I agree with Al, a new mouthpiece would probably be cheaper. May I ask, why the attraction to re-plating?
