Mouthpiece selection, please help

Im looking at purchasing mouthpiece that will allow me to play in the upper register but will not sacrifice tone quality.

I've looked at several schilke models but don't know which one would help me achieve the best results.

I currently play on a Bach 3C

If anybody could help me out that would be great

Sorry for the flame, but mouthpieces do NOT produce better high range. That you earn by practicing more.

The sooner you get the stupidity off stage, the better off you are.

Re: Mouthpiece selection, please help

Mouthpieces do help your upper range but you still have to practice like Rowuk said. A great Mouthpiece would be A schilke 14A4a or 13A4a. Maybe a bobby shew lead. I play on a Loud 93 Shallow mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is extremely shallow with a full sound. It is a great mouthpiece but still it doesnt make you play high notes just like that. You still have to practice. Some good mouthpieces are:

Denis Wick
Yamaha Trumpet Mouthpieces
Schilke Schilke - Mouthpieces
Marcinkiewicz Standard Line Trumpet
Louds LOUD Mouthpieces - Trumpet - Mellophone - Trombone - Euphonium - Tuba - Stainless Steel Mouthpieces

On the websites they tell you the size of the Mouthpieces. Scroll down on some of the websites and they give you a table so you can compare MP's.

P.S It took a while for me to get that in my brain. I always thought the shallower the higher you can play.

DON'T BUY A PIECE FOR RANGE!!!!!
You are wasting your money and your time.
Why not just buckle down and learn the horn??
Why cheat??

I hope Sofus sees this forum.
