| Mouthpieces I am considering a new mouthpiece and wanted some input. I am currently using a Gold plated CG Benge (1975) with a Curry 70-S mouthpiece. I play in a Rock/Blues band. Lots of upper register playing. I have played on several Schilke mputhpieces including 13a4a, 14a4a. The Curry seems wider than the Schilke, which i like. Thanks. |

| Fortissimo User | Re: Mouthpieces To be honest, nobody can predict nor accurately recommend a mouthpiece over the internet without being able to watch you and hear you playing. We don't know what your present limitations might be, we don't know your endurance, nor do we know what the characteristics of YOUR particular horn might be (end-gap, etc.) Go find yourself a good trumpet teacher/chop guru and take it from there. Or... contact one of the GR dealers. Last edited by Tootsall : 01-12-2007 at 05:15 PM. |
