does anyone know where to get a good mute for improvising and I have a low price range

I think you might mean a cup mute, bucket mute, or wah-wah mute.

A wah-wah mute is the cheapest to make by yourself. Most pros just buy a plunger and remove the stick. Then, voila! You have yourself a wah-wah.

The cup mute is best made by Humes and Berg who make the stone-lined trumpet cup mute. They also make a bucket mute.

Search online for some good places to order a mute. wwbw.com, music123, and sam ash are just a few that I know of.
