| Pianissimo User | My review of the bach 1 1/2c After getting a bach 1 1/2c and a 3c I just had the urge to start a post, more like ranting, about the 1 1/2c. Before I even tried the 1 1/2c I was mostly The tone is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! Feels wonderful on the lips and I gained a lot of flexibility back from the narrower rim! Only took me a couple of minutes to get used to the bigger size compared to the Parduba 5. It just feels so right, currently I"m just getting used to playing the upper registor more comfortably as I was used to but so far I'm really happy with it. I was thinking of using it as a legit piece but I feel like I can just make it my all-around piece! I finally understand all the hype about this piece! Did I mention the tone? I've only had it for a couple of days, lets see if this honeymoon ever ends...

![]() | Re: My review of the bach 1 1/2c I've been playing on a 1-1/2C since Christmas of last year. I had been playing a 3C and 6BM, when a friend let me try an extra 1-1/2C he had. I agree with you observations - very nice tone and a relatively easy upper register (considering the size). It was very easy to switch to after playing the other mouthpieces for many years. The intonation is right on with my old 43 Strad, and there's a resonance there that lets me back off and still produce the same volume levels. I still use the 3C for big band stuff because it gives more of an edge to the sound. The 6BM has taken up residence in my Kanstul field trumpet (bugle) case.
