| Need a combo case I just upgraded from a Bach student line flugel to a Getzen 4-valve. My problem is that the Getzen does not fit in my Mike Vax combo case. Does anyone know a good sturdy combo case with wheels? I have looked at Allora, Soundwear, and Wolfpak; but am unable to decide. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

| The bloke that sits next to me in the ensemble I play in has a Soundwear combo case with wheels. He usually keeps Bb, Eb and flugel in it. He seems pretty happy with is, except that one of the wheels jammed and got a bad flat spot, so he wants to replace them with in-line skate wheels. At the moment it vibrates so badly you can hear him coming from the other end of the building! I've got a Marcus Bonna triple, which seems very good. I know it hasn't got wheels, but you can get 'strap-on' wheels that would fit from a decent luggage store. I don't think you'd have any problem fitting a large Getzen flugel in either alongside a Bb, but I've not tried it. Rich. |

Marcus Bonna Triple Case is a superb alternative. This case is all fiberglass with eithe a cordura or leather covering. Interior accessory compartments as well as exterior one. Backpack Shoulder straps and handles. Cases will accommodate 3 Bb trumpet or trumpet and flugel. MB cases are by far the most popula. Much in demand browse slidebone.com for the gallery and complete line. | |
