I play a Merkelo 655-275-24 and am very happy with it. The customer service is wonderful too.

I play a 655-285-22 for most of my stuff. I have the same set up with a deeper throat also. Jeff made me a picc mouthpiece also, but I don't have the numbers here with me. I never expect to change pieces again!

Yep -- I really like my Merkelo 630-265-24. (Also have a 285 cup for it, but have ended up using the 265 for everything so far.) Really plays. And if I ever have to get a replacement from them, I know it'll be identical.

Did you have them make the 22 throat for you, or did you get it drilled out elsewhere? When I tried them they only had 26 and 24 throats available.

Parke made the 22 throat for me. I've been a customer of theirs since their NY days, and they made some great combos for me over the years. And, as someone said, their customer service is fantastic!

Didn't some people have some problems with park a while back? Is their customer service really that good now?

For those of you who like Parke's customer service.... Have you ever had to return a MP? What was that experience like for you?

I tried a Merkelo once and didn't like it at all. No big deal but it just wasn't for me. Where I ran into trouble was with the return "process".

I have returned mouthpieces with no problems with being credited for them. Usually I don't have to return them because I know what I want as far as size, depth and throat.

Bill: Is the 265 cup pretty "funnel-like?" My 285 Merkelo is an I love it, but was thinking of getting a second Parke a bit smaller and shallower for high note work. Yours sounds like it might be exactly what I'm looking for....

Yes, the Merkelo 265 cup still has the funnel-like shape. Like the 285, only shallower.
